Real Time PCR HRM genotyping in an hour
HRM (High Resolution Melt) analysis is a recently developed procedure for rapid characterization of genetic variations [1] through the observation of fluorescence change when double stranded DNA strands gradually melt apart during denaturing phase. HRM enables researchers to rapidly detect & categorize genetic mutations (e.g. SNPs), identify new genetic variants without sequencing[2] or determine the genetic variation in a population (e.g. viral diversity) prior to sequencing[3].
